Job Description

Aerotek is hiring immediately for an extrusion operator! As an Extrusion Operator, you will play a crucial role in setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment. Your responsibility will include ensuring that the product meets quality specifications, is free of defects, and is properly documented. Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and break down product on equipment.
• Read and properly fill out required paperwork.
• Input data into the SAP system.
• Monitor and inspect product for conformance to specifications and ensure it is free of defects.
• Follow ISO documentation to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean working area.
• Collaborate with colleagues in and out of the department to ensure smooth production.
• Prepare product for transfer to another department as necessary.
• Perform light maintenance on equipment.
• Support and contribute to the Total Quality Management System (TQM) and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by adhering to policies and procedures.
• Work with management on future processes, including ISO and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Ability to train on first shift.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Basic math skills.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, particularly in extrusion.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with extrusion is a plus.
• Must not be colorblind due to dealing with color-coded wires.

Work Environment

The workplace is temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lit, featuring a large cafeteria-style breakroom. There are multiple shifts available, including a second shift from 3pm to 11:30pm with a 10% differential, and a third shift from 11pm to 7:30am with a 15% differential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Grafton, MA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
