Job Title: Aluminum Welder
Position Overview
We’re looking for an Aluminum Welder who is ready to grow their skills and support daily fabrication work. This entry‑level role focuses on performing fundamental welding tasks with guidance from experienced team members. You’ll work from straightforward drawings, operate welding equipment, and help build aluminum components such as scaffolding cages as the team transitions from TIG to MIG processes. Safety, accuracy, and reliability are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on aluminum parts and assemblies.
- Review and follow basic blueprints, sketches, and job instructions.
- Prep materials by cutting, grinding, deburring, and cleaning surfaces.
- Set up welding machines, tools, and workstations for assigned tasks.
- Check completed welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance.
- Keep welding tools and equipment in proper working order and report issues.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Support senior welders with more complex fabrication projects.
- Keep the work area organized and free of hazards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working with aluminum and TIG processes.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–3 years of hands-on welding experience.
- Basic understanding of metal properties and common welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret simple technical drawings.
- Strong focus on quality and detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal welding coursework or certification.
- Ability to use standard measuring tools (tape, calipers, gauges, etc.).
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
- Familiarity with welding safety and shop procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Good manual dexterity and willingness to learn under supervision.

Work Environment
This role is primarily performed indoors with exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud equipment. Standard PPE—including safety glasses and hard hats—is required at all times. Overtime may be available depending on workload, and shift schedules may adjust to meet production needs. The workspace is designed with safety, efficiency, and teamwork in mind.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr.
