JOB TITLE: CNC Lathe/Swiss Machinist
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
SHIFT: 1st and 2nd shifts needed, but hours are flexible on both shifts
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
- Perform machine setup, operation, and first article inspections on CNC Lathes (DMG Mori Seki) or Swiss machines including Tornos, Citizen and Tsugami
- Troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues on the machine
- Assist in meeting production schedules by producing parts as required by customers
- Assist in meeting quality requirements
- Make recommendations for improvement as it relates to production and quality
- Communicate problems and procedural issues with appropriate supervision and departments
- Assist in training other machinists as needed
- Verify accuracy and completeness of all paperwork
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum HS diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years in a CNC lathe or Swiss machining environment
- CNC programming experience is a plus
- Demonstrated experience using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, weights, optical comparators and other inspection devices
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
- Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Good manual dexterity
- Good interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $32.00 per hour
