What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Component Landing Gear Technician position at AeroRepair Corp?
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, overtime as required and approved.
Summary: : Landing Gear Repair Technician 1 - Entry Level: Responsible for performing skilled tasks in the service, maintenance, and repair of airplane landing gear and components, by performing the following duties:
This position performs safety-sensitive functions.
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Disassemble gear and components. *
2. Responsible for deflating gear. *
3. Removes bushings and related hardware including bolts, washers, and nuts. *
4. Cleans hardware and all parts of the gear in an aqueous or solvent based machine. *
5. Removes paint occasionally with a dry system such as bead blast. *
6. Operates heavy-duty hydraulic jacks and other equipment to perform landing gear maintenance functions. *
7. Assists other departments when necessary.
