What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist Setup/Operator position at AeroNautix Precision LLC?
Position Overview: The position consists of operating various CNC machining equipment, such as a Fadal VMC, Mazak Lathe, Haas Multi-Axis Milling Machine, Bridgeport Milling Machines. The operator will make sure the machine is set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. We are a job shop so the parts may change frequently; being willing to set up and adjust new jobs as needed is a must. This position may also consist of supporting other areas of production in the shop such as deburring and inspecting parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathe and milling machines as required
- Creating metal parts as required by job specifications
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, which may consist of loading/unloading machines as well as controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed)
- Deburr parts
- Inspect parts with precision measuring tools
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools
- Understanding of production procedures
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read blueprints and manuals
- Attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength- requires standing for several hours at a time and operating heavy machinery
