As a customer account representative, you will focus on providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies.This is a fully remote position; however, it is not a flexible or on-demand schedule. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work in a quiet, distraction-free environment where you can handle back-to-back phone calls and maintain focus throughout your shift.Please note: Working remotely is not a substitute for childcare. Candidates must have appropriate arrangements in place to ensure they are fully available and able to respond to calls and tasks as they come in throughout the workday.Your Primary ResponsibilitiesWe are currently seeking a Customer Account Representative. CAR is typically responsible for:Handling a high-volume number of both incoming and outgoing phone calls dailyUpdating account information, such as: product needs, insurance, contact information, etc.Placing resupply orders for current patients that receive incontinence supplies and cathetersResearching insurance payer requirements and understanding reimbursement proceduresTroubleshooting equipment problems and offering product changesMaintaining HIPAA/patient confidentialityEmployee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performanceRegular and reliable attendance as assigned by your scheduleOther job duties as assignedSkills for SuccessExcellent Customer Service SkillsAbility to Think CriticallyExceptional OrganizationHigh Level of CompassionOutstanding Written and Verbal CommunicationWillingness to Make Decisions IndependentlyAbility to Contribute to a TeamMust Be Adaptable and Willing to LearnGeneral Computer and Email ProficiencyRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent1 year of customer service experience preferred1 year of call center experience preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent critical thinking skillsExcellent De-escalation skillsExcellent active listening skillsAbility to multitask – shifting between open applications as you speak with patientsAbility to type 40 words per minute with accuracyA reliable, high-speed internet connection is required, with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps. Unstable or unreliable connectivity may impact performance expectations. Repeated internet or phone outages may result in the termination of remote work privileges at the discretion of Aeroflow Health management.You might also have, but not required:Knowledge with different types of insurance such as medicare, medicaid, and commercial plansDME supplies, specifically with incontinence and cathetersWhat we look forWe are looking for highly motivated, talented, individuals who can work well independently and as a team.
