Mission description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide regulatory guidance to internal customers. Review technical data such as engineering drawings to determine the appropriate export classification. Make access control determinations for SHE USA's facility and IT systems. Classify products for export such as determining the appropriate USML, ECCN, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications. Draft, submit and manage export authorizations. Interface with internal functions (i.e., Program Management, Supply Chain) to ensure all work processes are in compliance with U.S. trade regulations. Draft and update procedures, instructions, forms, and templates. Manage daily export activities including interaction with freight forwarders. Review international shipments to determine the proper export authorization. Provide compliance training to internal customers. Conduct investigations into potential compliance issues. Conduct audits and risk assessments. Collaborate with compliance team on various projects, conferences, audits, assessments, reports, etc. Provide guidance and assistance on a broad range of export compliance matters, including: o Technology Reviews, Classification and Access Controls o Export Licensing, o Recordkeeping, o Audits o Denied Party Screening/ KYC o Incoterms Will perform other duties as assigned.
Job requirements Must be a U.S. person as defined as _ U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Basic Qualifications & Education: Bachelor's Degree Required and 5 or more years of relevant experience and practical knowledge in US export compliance. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and similar software applications. Detailed knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) Specifically, experience with: o Export Classification o Export Authorization Determination o Export Licensing o Technology and Access Controls o Forwarder Management o Automated Commercial Environment o Audits Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be able to research, interpret, and apply the EAR, ITAR and FTR Ability and experience with reviewing and interpreting technical documents such as drawings, specifications, manuals, etc. Experience with Technology/ Access Controls Must be able to implement advanced export/import control concepts.
