Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you will support the accounting department by managing financial records, assisting with bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Duties
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using Epicor and other accounting software
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and promptly to the correct accounts.
- Responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payable & maintain vendor W-9 files.
- Track Use tax and ensure tax exemptions are received whenever applicable.
- Annual 1099 preparation.
- Review and post A/R daily & follow up with customers on outstanding/past due invoices
- Support accounting activities, including bank reconciliations and expense tracking
- Assist Controller in Month end close and all Year End Audits
- Tracking Requests for Quotes and customer Purchase Orders.
- Closing manufacturing jobs.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Assist with HR and Payroll tasks assigned by Controller
- Perform other ad hoc duties as required
Experience
- 2-year Accounting Degree and minimum 2-4 years hands on experience
- Proficient in math, the ability to spot numerical errors, and the ability to trouble shoot problems
- Prior office experience with strong clerical skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in ERP,
- Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
