Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed land surveyor to join our national brand’s newest office, located in New Jersey. Aero Land Surveyors is a fast-growing land surveying company that uses cutting-edge field and office techniques.
The licensed surveyor will be hired as a supervisory authority within the company and will be listed as an officer of the company with the state. Once a surveyor has been selected, the company will immediately proceed with incorporation of the new entity. The surveyor will perform all legally required oversight roles, including but not limited to field work and drafting review. Surveyors who are willing to perform some field work will be reviewed more favorably. The company already employs an accounting, research and drafting department and the surveyor will not be directly responsible for these job functions.
Job type: Remote position (hybrid if the surveyor elects to conduct field work)
Salary: $72,000 starting salary. Once the office completes 100 jobs per month, the annual salary is increased to $80,000. If the surveyor elects to conduct some field work, additional per diem pay will be distributed at a rate of $280 per day. This is a W-2 position with no benefits.
Expected monthly job volume: Initial work volume expected to start at 20 jobs per month and be 80 jobs per month by month 6. The company will seek an aggressive growth strategy with the goal of achieving 250-300 jobs per month prior to hiring an additional or subordinate licensed surveyor to assist with daily activities.

Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor license or equivalent certification demonstrating licensure as a surveyor.
- Experience conducting boundary surveys, construction staking, topographic mapping, and managing legal descriptions for land parcels.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with clients and internal teams while documenting survey data clearly and accurately.
