Part Marking Technician - 1st Shift - (1148-A)

The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success together.    Position Summary The Part Marking Technician is an integral member of the team responsible for planning and conducting activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of manufacturing processes, materials and products.    Essential Functions This role will be instrumental in driving Aero Gear’s success in the implementation of quality improvements in the Quality organization, internally and externally. •Perform part marking and hardness testing per work instructions. •Advise on and create setup instructions for marking layouts and design programs. •Record results per work instructions. •Participate in improvement activities.    Competencies and Skills •Solid organizational skills. •Task / results-oriented. •Capable of following work instructions. •Strong attention to detail.    Experience and Education •Has worked in a manufacturing environment. •Experience with Pryor MarkMaster, Traceable-IT Software and Microsoft Office a plus. •Familiar with applying aerospace part marking is preferred. •Ability to read and complete required process documents (travelers, routers, etc.).    Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.    Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
