Assembly Technician II
Position: Full Time Assembly Technician
Shift: 9/80 (7am-4:30pm Mon-Thu, 7am-330pm Fri / Every other Fri off)
Essential Functions:
Perform assembly functions using various shop tools and interpreting assembly instructions. Technicians must have the ability to read drawings, schematics and assembly procedures. Perform all assembly operations on the production floor ensuring safety, quality, and standard work protocol are followed to the highest standard.
Specific duties:
- Interpret Assembly Instructions and perform cable and wire harness assembly steps to meet requirements.
- Assembly steps can require precise manipulation of small components – manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience with ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC-WHMA-620 strongly preferred.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications
- Understanding of various measurement tools and techniques including calipers, scales, protractors and other miscellaneous devices.
- Familiarity with the tooling required to build product including strippers, cutters, crimp tools, torque tools and other various devices.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
- 3 Years experience in assembly required (electrical type exp preferred)
- IPC Certification strongly preferred
- Applicant will be required to take a drug test.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to precisely manipulate small components (magnifying glass often utilized)
- Use and calibrate various tools including calipers, scales, protractors, strippers, cutters, crimp tools, torque tools and other devices
- Attention to detail
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time
