Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations within an FAA Repair Station environment. This role ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws as well as FAA/DOT safety-sensitive requirements. The HR Generalist will partner closely with leadership, technicians, and administrative teams to provide full-cycle HR support including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training documentation, and HR compliance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Execute full cycle recruiting for technical and administrative roles.
- Coordinate DOT/FAA pre-employment testing, background, and safety-sensitive clearances.
- Conduct new hire onboarding, orientation, and policy training.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready personnel/training files.
Employee Relations & HR Administration
- Serve as first point of contact for employee questions and escalation.
- Support corrective action, coaching, and documentation with leadership.
- Maintain HRIS, attendance, personnel records, and PTO accruals.
- Assist with evaluations, promotions, separations, and exit documentation.
Compliance & Safety-Sensitive Programs
- Support FAA/DOT drug and alcohol compliance.
- Ensure HR compliance with federal/state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, I-9, FLSA).
- Prepare and maintain documentation for FAA, OSHA, or internal audits.
- Support safety incident reporting requirements.
Benefits, Payroll & Administration
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and eligibility inquiries.
- Coordinate payroll changes, new hire setups, and offboarding with payroll.
- Support open enrollment and employee communications.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect HR-sensitive data at all times.

Performance & Development
- Maintain annual performance review process and 30/60-day evaluations.
- Support leadership coaching and development.
- Track certifications, qualifications, and required training currency.

Education and Experience:
- Must be 18 years or older and legally allowed to work in the U.S.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must read and write English.
- 2-4 years of HR experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or similar regulated industry strongly preferred.
- Experience in FAA Part 145 or DOT-regulated environment strongly preferred.
- Must have strong Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, I-9, EEO, OSHA, and general HR compliance.
- Must have strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug test & background check.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
