Job Title: Line Tech Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Line Tech Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing aircraft ground handling services, fueling, towing, and other ramp-related operations during night shifts. This role ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and aviation regulations while leading and mentoring the night shift team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
Lead and supervise the shift line service team, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards.
Train, mentor, and coach line technicians on best practices, procedures, and safety regulations.
Assign and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow and completion of responsibilities.
Conduct shift briefings to communicate operational updates, weather conditions, and any special instructions.
Address and resolve operational issues or escalate them as necessary to management.
Ensure proper documentation of fuel transactions, maintenance issues, and incident reports.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness.
Operational Duties:
Perform aircraft fueling (Jet A, Avgas) in accordance with established safety protocols.
Safely tow, park, and marshal aircraft as needed.
Conduct regular safety inspections of fueling equipment, vehicles, and ramp areas.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ramp, fueling stations, and customer service areas.
Ensure accurate and timely fueling logs, service reports, and operational records.
Monitor and replenish fuel inventory as needed.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce compliance with company safety policies and FAA regulations.
Monitor ramp operations to ensure adherence to environmental and fire safety guidelines.
Report and address safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Conduct and participate in safety training, emergency response drills, and audits.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in line service or aviation ground handling, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred.
Strong knowledge of aircraft fueling, towing, and ramp operations.
Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train employees.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL with HAZMAT endorsement is a plus.
Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
Working Conditions:
Primarily outdoor work on the ramp in varying weather conditions.
Schedule with potential overtime or on-call requirements.
Fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks.
Compensation & Benefits:
18.00 per hour- paid every two weeks
