Company Overview

• We are partnering with a large public manufacturing organization with a broad North American plant network and continued investment in finance operations, plant performance, and operational visibility.
• The business is operationally complex, with manufacturing, distribution, retail, and supply chain activity across multiple markets. This role sits within the Operations Finance organization and supports regional plant operations.

Position Overview

• The Manager, Operations Finance will support multiple manufacturing sites across the region and serve as a key finance business partner to operations leadership.
• This is not a traditional reporting-only finance role. The position is highly embedded in the business and focused on driving better forecasting, cost visibility, KPI reporting, productivity analysis, and operational decision-making.
• The role will lead a regional team of 6 to 8 direct reports depending on location and will partner closely with Regional VPs, plant leadership, HR, and finance leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting, analysis, and controls across multiple manufacturing sites
• Partner with operations leadership to evaluate plant performance, cost drivers, labor productivity, and operational KPIs
• Support monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning processes
• Drive consistency across plant-level finance processes, reporting, and best practices
• Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Senior Financial Analysts
• Support strategic initiatives tied to forecasting, inventory management, cost savings, and process improvement
• Provide financial insights to guide operational decision-making
• Monitor and enforce financial controls, reporting standards, and company policies
• Step in to support plant locations during vacancies or high-priority initiatives
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across finance, operations, HR, and regional leadership

Compensation and Work Structure

• Total Compensation Range: $132,250 to $149,500
• This range reflects base salary plus annual bonus opportunity.
• Work Structure: Onsite / field-based operations finance role
• Travel: 25% to 35% regional travel supporting plant locations

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5 years of finance, FP&A, operations finance, manufacturing finance, plant finance, or related experience
• Prior leadership, supervisory, or manager-level experience preferred
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and financial modeling
• Experience supporting manufacturing, plant, supply chain, logistics, field operations, or multi-site environments
• Strong understanding of P&L drivers, cost analysis, labor analysis, productivity metrics, and operational performance
• Ability to partner directly with operations leadership and explain financial drivers clearly
• Strong communication skills and ability to challenge the business appropriately
• Comfortable leading direct reports and developing finance talent
• Strong Excel and ERP/reporting systems experience
