Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels
- Restock shelves and ensure products are properly labeled and priced
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and inventory counts
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Support supervising staff when needed, including training new team members
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery stores preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures required
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and promote sales through product demos
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued
