Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of outdoor signage, ensuring safety standards and quality craftsmanship are met at every project site. Your technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and ability to interpret schematics will be essential to successfully complete installations efficiently and accurately. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance brand visibility and customer engagement across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Install a wide range of signage including illuminated signs, banners, wayfinding signs, and custom displays according to project specifications and schematics.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to mount signs on various surfaces such as walls, poles, or building facades.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics on illuminated signs to troubleshoot wiring issues, ballast problems, or power supply faults.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation instructions to ensure precise placement and functionality of signage.
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and operational checks on installed signs to ensure longevity and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and site safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of installation procedures, technical diagnostics, repairs performed, and materials used.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Experience working with heavy equipment mechanics or maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and wiring diagrams effectively.
- Technical proficiency in handling power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment required for installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently.
