Inventory Control Specialist II
Location: Houston, TX (On-site)
Duration: Contract till Nov 2025 with possibility to extend
Pay rate: $25/hr on w2
Job Duties:
Logistics Coordination:
• Ensure materials are delivered on time from the 3rd-party warehouse to the internal warehouse
• Coordinate daily shipments and ensure all logistics meet production schedules
• Track and manage shipments, including communication with warehouse partners regarding any delays or issues
• Resolve logistical issues quickly to avoid production delays
Inventory Management:
• Liaise with the inventory team at the internal warehouse to monitor on site inventory (quantity and accuracy)
Forecasting and Planning:
• Work closely with the scheduling team to understand production schedules and future material requirements
• Review demand forecasts and place timely orders with the 3rd-party warehouse to meet manufacturing needs
Supplier and Stakeholder Communication:
• Communicate regularly with the 3rd-party warehouse to ensure the availability of materials
• Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and production support teams to maintain clear lines of communication about inventory and material flow
• Ensure all relevant stakeholders are kept informed of any logistical or inventory issues
Continuous Improvement:
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve logistics and inventory processes
• Recommend process improvements to enhance material flow and inventory accuracy
• Implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs associated with logistics and inventory management

Qualifications and Skills:
• 3 years' in Supply Chain: Warehousing in Pharma/Biotech
• B.S./M.S. degree preferred
• CPIM certification preferred
• Strong IT expertise in MS Office (Word and Excel) and SAP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline
• Continuous Improvement mindset with a focus on collaboration and teamworking
• Can-do attitude
• A hands-on, flexible and highly analytical mind-set
• Proficiency in data analysis and the use of reporting tools to manage and monitor inventory data, KPIs, and replenishment processes
