Job Summary
The Senior Contracts & Claims Manager is responsible for the commercial management of large and medium-scale CAPEX projects (minimum project spend of $5M). The role protects *******'s contractual rights, ensures contractor compliance, manages claims and disputes, mitigates commercial risks, and drives value optimization across project procurement and execution. The position partners closely with Global Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Legal, Finance, and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Support development of risk mitigation and contracting strategies.
- Review tender documents and contracts with strategic suppliers.
- Lead contract execution to protect *****contractual rights and entitlements.
- Manage contract changes, extensions, and change requests.
- Coordinate change orders, delay management, conflict resolution, and dispute preparation.
- Monitor contractual compliance and legal obligations.
- Manage warranties and performance guarantees.
- Support arbitration and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Provide commercial leadership to project teams and contractors.
Claims Management
- Identify and pursue outgoing claims opportunities.
- Analyze incoming claims and develop defense strategies.
- Prepare claim notifications, correspondence, negotiations, and settlements.
- Maintain claim documentation and records.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Manage supplier escalations and claims.
- Support supplier performance, compliance, and accountability.
- Participate in supplier audits and performance reviews.
- Develop strong supplier relationships across strategic segments.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
- Gather and clarify stakeholder requirements.
- Drive proactive communication and alignment across functions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Experience
- 10 years of relevant experience in:
- Contract management
- Claims management
- Cost management
- Project change management
- Commercial negotiations and dispute resolution
- Experience with major contractors, consultants, EPCM/EPC contractors.
- Experience leading commercial activities on major construction projects.
- Pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated industry experience is advantageous.
