There are two positions represented by this posting.Oversee work performed by contractors on AEP electrical facilities and assist Supervisor Distribution System as needed.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist Supervisor Distribution System with job planning, safety, crew critique, or other tasks as needed.
- Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design and construction standards and construction quality.
- Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly.
- Resolve customers' concerns associated with work performed by contractors.
- Document construction events to protect AEP's interest from future claims.
- Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete and reasonable.
- Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities.
- Certify acceptability of contractor's work for invoice approval and payment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent education. Minimum 2 years experience as a Construction Project Inspector or equivalent related experience. Thorough knowledge of distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.

$74,551.00 - $109,543.00The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
