AEP is partnering with a well-established local Hawaii organization who is seeking a Systems Administrator to support and maintain their IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a stable environment, takes ownership of day-to-day IT operations, and is comfortable working with legacy Windows-based systems.
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $94,000- $110,000 base
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and user accounts
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple locations
- Manage system backups, patches, and updates across the infrastructure
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
- Support end users across retail/operations locations throughout Oahu
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party IT service providers
- Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures
- Assist with hardware procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management
What We're Looking For
- 7 years of experience in a systems administration or IT support role
- Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server (2012/2016) and Active Directory
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and related tools
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
- Experience supporting multi-site or distributed environments a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a calm, solution-oriented mindset
- Hawaii-based or relocating — local candidates strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- CompTIA A , Network , or Security certification
- Experience with legacy systems and hardware
- Retail or operations IT support background
