AEL-SPAN, LLC, A Walker SCM, LLC affiliate company, brings an experienced team approach to multi-national logistics service. We are a 3PL provider of assembly and contract packaging services and the associated warehousing, distribution, procurement and transportation services. Our Enfield, NC facility is responsible for providing inbound-to-plant logistics services Cummins Rocky Mount Engine Plant.
The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely putaway of materials. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.
Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure all orders are sequenced in a timely and accurate manner.
- Locate parts, including received parts, put-away parts, and parts that are not yet received, so as to support emergency situations and avoid interruptions and shutdown of production lines.
- Coordinate team members and activities.
- Be present on the floor to give guidance and feedback to the team.
- Communicate closely with the admin team regarding any operations concerns.
- Proactively communicate and escalate any ‘defects’ and other situations in the warehouse that could potentially have minor or major impacts.
- Prepare and send out daily/weekly/monthly KPI tracking.
- Check customer portals and enter data as needed.
- Manage inventory accuracy at the highest levels.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledgeable of 5S and Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Ability to manage people across a large facility, ensuring team members are productive and safe, while promoting communication and teamwork.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; experienced and well-spoken in front of customers and large groups.
- Ability to deal with and communicate effectively with a diverse team of individuals from various backgrounds, at all organizational levels.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means, to individuals and groups.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma, or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, is required
- Ability to understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace; read, understand, and communicate all safety requirements and cautions, as well as all operational procedures
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
- Must have the ability to lift up to 35lbs
