In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing project-specific Quality Plans, supervising QA/QC activities, and ensuring full adherence to DOT and agency requirements.What You’ll DoQuality Oversight ComplianceDevelop and implement Quality Plans per DOT and agency-specific protocolsMonitor site QA/QC activities including inspection, materials testing, and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDOT, NYS Thruway Authority, and similar agency specificationsDocumentation ReportingPrepare inspection reports, progress logs, audit checklists, and quality documentationEnsure contractor submittals and quality procedures meet approval requirementsLead quality audits and agency-facing documentation reviewsTeam Leadership CollaborationSupervise QA/QC staff across field inspection and testing disciplinesCoordinate with client reps, construction managers, and AEIS engineersRepresent AEIS in progress meetings and quality briefingsWhat Were Looking ForMust HavesActive New York / New Jersey State Professional Engineer (PE) License (Mandatory)Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction quality management for DOT or agency-led infrastructure projectsDirect experience with NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NJDOT, NYS Thruway Authority, or equivalent agencies30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training Certification (Mandatory)Strong knowledge of transportation construction codes, standards, AHJ specs and quality proceduresExcellent technical writing, communication, and leadership skillsProficiency in quality management software and digital reporting toolsBonus PointsAdditional licensure in NY/NJ (mandatory) or other statesBackground in inspection disciplines (geotechnical, concrete, asphalt, coatings, etc.)Familiarity with Primavera, HCSS, or project controls softwareSalary Range: $125K - $190K annually.
