Mill Operator/Machinist

As a Mill Machinist in the aerospace and defense industry, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC vertical milling machines to produce precision components that meet the high-quality standards required for aerospace and defense applications.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC and manual milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace parts per blueprints, specifications, and production schedules.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Siemens NX) for tooling paths and simulations.
- Perform first-part inspections using precision measuring instruments.
- Conduct regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a mill machinist in an aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industry
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in machining or related field preferred
- Familiarity with Fanuc an/or Fidia Controllers
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming and operation, including G-code and M-code
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and GD&T
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
