Responsibilities
- Coordinate with customers, engineering, production, vendors, and leadership to define project scope, pricing, schedules, deliverables, and execution requirements for custom engineered solutions.
- Lead and manage field service and project execution activities, including custom equipment builds, calibration, engineering support, installations, commissioning, and customer handoff.
- Manage technical and commercial communications related to project bidding, quoting, planning, execution, and closeout.
- Develop, maintain, and organize comprehensive project documentation, including manuals, drawings, schematics, software, calibration records, safety documentation, and related technical materials.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, effectively, and in compliance with applicable industry and regulatory standards, including OSHA, NFPA, ASME, and other relevant requirements.
- Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, customer training, acceptance testing, and final project handover.
- Identify and manage project risks, scope changes, and technical issues, including change orders, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and Engineering Management of Change (EMOC) processes.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, and process equipment issues in industrial environments.
- Support project objectives related to customer satisfaction, operational performance, schedule, budget, and business development.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel as required to support customer projects, installations, commissioning, and field service activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- 5 years of experience in machine design, engineering, field service, project management, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects involving engineering, manufacturing, customers, vendors, and field service teams.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software; experience with SolidWorks or similar platforms preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, instrumentation, and process equipment.
- Working knowledge of equipment installation, commissioning, calibration, controls, instrumentation, and technical signoff.
- Understanding of industrial safety requirements, regulatory standards, risk management, and change-control processes.
- Strong project management, communication, organizational, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while balancing technical, commercial, and operational requirements.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, potentially up to 50% depending on project requirements.
- Experience with robotic automation, industrial gas systems, thermal spray technologies, or similar specialized industrial equipment is a plus.
- Experience providing technical customer support and managing complex engineered solutions is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, Project Management certification, or comparable professional credentials is a plus.
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
