What are the responsibilities and job description for the 401K Plan Administrator position at Aegis Retirement Partners, LLC?
Aegis Retirement Partners is an independent, third party administration firm that provides full administrative and advisory services to our growing plan sponsor clientele. We are looking for a retirement plan Account Manager to work closely with clients to design, implement, and provide full administrative support for their 401(k) and/or 403(b) Plans.
Overview
The account manager role is responsible for all aspects of defined contribution administration. You will be working very closely with your clients to ensure their retirement plan offering remains in compliance with current law and is continually designed to exceed the goals of the Plan Sponsor.
Responsibilities include
- Work with new clients to design a Plan that meets and exceeds their goals and needs
- Provide continued support during new plan set up or transition of Plan
- Provide day to day support for all administrative issues that arise during the course of the plan year.
- Work closely with our record keeping partners
- Research and resolve escalated issues as they arise
- Monitor operational processes in maintaining compliance guidelines
- Meet with clients at least annually to review plan design and plan statistics
- Perform all applicable compliance testing, including ADP/ACP, coverage testing, etc.
- Preparation of signature ready Form 5500 and Form 8955 SSA
- If applicable, work directly with the ERISA CPA auditor for large plans
Education / Skills / Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of retirement plan administration experience
- Knowledge of laws related to qualified retirement plans
- ASPPA or similar credentials preferred, but not required
- Must have very strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be self-motivated and service clients in a proactive manner
- Experience and proficiency with basic software programs, including all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with ASC software preferred, but not required
The ideal candidate would work mostly from their home office but would need to come into our Concord MA corporate office for meetings, training, or similar as well as local travel to client meetings as needed (pending Covid restrictions).

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
