Aegis Pest Defense is a locally owned, family-operated pest control company serving residential communities across Utah. We're looking for a motivated, personable Door-to-Door Sales Representative to join our growing team and help homeowners protect their properties with our recurring pest control services.
In this role, you'll be the face of Aegis in the neighborhoods we serve — knocking doors, starting conversations, and signing customers onto service agreements. You don't need to be a pest expert; we'll handle the training. What you do need is grit, a positive attitude, and the drive to hit your targets. Top performers in this role earn strong commissions with meaningful upside tied directly to their effort.
Duties and responsibilities
- Canvass assigned residential neighborhoods on foot and engage homeowners in professional, consultative conversations about pest control needs
- Clearly explain Aegis Pest Defense service plans, pricing, and the value of recurring treatment programs
- Overcome objections confidently and close service agreements on the spot
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets set by management
- Accurately log leads, appointments, and closed accounts using company tools
- Represent the Aegis brand with professionalism, honesty, and a customer-first attitude at all times
- Coordinate with technicians and office staff to ensure a smooth customer handoff after a sale is closed
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing coaching from leadership
- Maintain knowledge of common Utah pests, seasonal trends, and competitor offerings to better serve customers
- Provide feedback to management on neighborhood-level objections, competitor activity, and market opportunities
Qualifications and experience
- No prior pest control experience required, we provide full product and service training
- Prior door-to-door, direct sales, or canvassing experience is recommended (solar, alarms, home services, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to self-motivate and stay productive in an unsupervised, field-based environment
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills — you enjoy talking to new people
- Reliable transportation to and from designated work areas
- Ability to work outdoors and on foot for extended periods, including in varying weather conditions
- Basic smartphone proficiency for logging sales activity and communicating with the team
Pay: $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
