Shift Supervisor

New Grads encouraged to apply!!

Position Summary:

• Aegis Worldwide is partnered with a manufacturer who is seeking a chemical engineering new grad for a shift supervisor
• This person will come in and spend 6 months training
• Then they will become a supervisor for roughly 18 months leading operators to learn all the ins and outs for how a manufacturing facility works.
• Then they will be given the opportunity to either stay in a supervisor role or move into an engineering role!

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
• Relevant internship experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Control labor costs through effective scheduling and adjustments based on operational needs.
• Ensure a safe working environment through proactive housekeeping, leak/spill prevention, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee completion of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Investigate and document all EHS&S incidents and personnel matters in a timely and thorough manner.
• Build and maintain accountable, high-performing operating teams focused on continuous improvement and ownership of results.
• Provide leadership through effective prioritization, problem-solving, and motivation of both teams and individuals.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of unit operations and effectively lead a small team in a manufacturing environment.
• Lead daily operations by ensuring operators complete required tasks and assignments in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Maximize manufacturing efficiency and output by troubleshooting equipment and process streams to reduce downtime and control costs.
• Maintain compliance with technical specifications by collaborating with the technical team to drive process improvements and ensure equipment reliability.
• Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure all finished products meet internal and customer specifications.
