A day in the lifeYour morning might start with scheduled inspections and preventive checks. By midday, you could be collaborating with engineering on a performance tweak to a control loop. If an alarm pops, you’ll jump in to diagnose, repair, and document the fix. Along the way, you’ll share know-how with newer team members and keep an eye on emerging tech to bring fresh ideas to the floor.
Your impact- Install, service, and troubleshoot control equipment and systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize uptime.
- Partner with engineering teams to enhance system performance.
- Record maintenance and repair work with precise, complete documentation.
- Respond to urgent calls and restore systems swiftly and safely.
- Support the onboarding and growth of junior technicians and new hires.
- Track industry developments to stay current on control technologies.
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in a Control Technician or closely related role.
- Solid knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working both independently and within a team setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to cover varied hours, including on-call when required.
