Position Summary

Prepares surfaces, mixes colors, and applies paint and other finishes to walls, buildings, and structures. Key duties include surface preparation (sanding, cleaning, and priming), color matching, applying finishes with brushes or sprayers, and ensuring the work area is clean and organized. This role requires attention to detail, and knowledge of different painting techniques, tools, and materials.

Schedule: Full-time, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Surface preparation:
  
  

Cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of the new finish.

• Mixing and matching:
  
  

Creating custom colors and ensuring the consistency of the paint or coating is correct.

• Application:
  
  

Applying paint, stain, and other coatings using various tools like brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

• Protection:
  
  

Covering and protecting furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas to prevent paint from getting on them.

• Cleanup:
  
  

Removing old paint and wallpaper, cleaning tools and supplies, and clearing the work area after completion.

• Project management:
  
  

Estimating materials, completing projects within budget and on time, and maintaining good communication with clients and other professionals

Qualifications

Skills and Competencies:

• 5 years of experience painting interior and exterior walls, siding, and trim
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Physical strength and stamina for tasks like lifting, climbing, and working in various conditions.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail for a precise and professional finish.
• Knowledge of color theory, paint types, and proper application techniques.
• Ability to work with different materials like wood, metal, and drywall.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  
  

Education, Experience, And Licensing Requirements

• High school diploma preferred
• Previous painting experience required
• Proficiency with painting tools and equipment required
• Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment

USD $30.00/Hr.

Max Salary

USD $35.00/Hr.
