What are the responsibilities and job description for the People Operations Business Partner position at AEG Vision?
The People Operations Business Partner (POBP) will serve in a high-level, strategic, and critical thinking role in support of People Operations decisions centered around talent, performance, succession, employee conflict, and strategic planning. The POBP will partner with the Director of People Operations and Department Leaders to conceive, design, and implement solutions to advance the capabilities of employees across all levels. This position will drive change and create an adoption environment centered around AEG values and People First culture.
The People Ops Business Partner will support AEG’s Home Office (Dallas Service Center & Dallas Technology Center), Alton Service Center, Call Center, as well as corporate employees working remotely across the U.S.
This position requires a hybrid schedule.
- Expectations within the first 30 days:
- Build understanding of the business, corporate teams, policies, and People Operations priorities
- Begin supporting day-to-day employee relations matters with guidance
- Learn active projects and identify opportunities to contribute, with focus on June compliance initiatives
- Days 31–60
- Become fully self-sufficient in managaing day-to-day employee relations support for corporate teams
- Independently handle employee relations matters, provide leader guidance, and navigate routine issues with sound judgement
- Support key projects, including July engagement survey, activities and related follow-up efforts
- Days 61-90
- Contribute as a strategic partner by supporting People First initiatives and workforce planning efforts in September
- Provide meaningful support on cross-functional projects and recommend ways to improve processes or team effectiveness
- Demonstrate strong ownership of both core responsibilities and project contributions, while identifying ongoing opportunities to add value
Ongoing Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day employee relations support for corporate teams
- Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on people-related matters
- Support compliance, engagement, and People First initiatives
- Contribute to workforce planning and organizational projects
- Partner cross-functionally to support broader People Operations priorities
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and team effectiveness
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3 years as an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Generalist or Organizational Development role
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
- Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
- Proven employee relations experience, including managing complex issues
- Ability to build trusted partnerships and consult effectively with executives and senior leaders
- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams preferred
- Demonstrated agility, sound judgment, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to design and execute projects with minimal supervision in a hybrid work environment
- Ability to travel up to 25%, as needed
