About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Student Success Advisor to support students’ academic progress and overall development to join a well-established preK-12 school in West Covina. This role plays a key part in ensuring students stay on track by monitoring performance, providing academic guidance, supporting personal development, and maintaining strong communication with families and school leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Guidance
- Monitor student grades, progress reports, and overall academic performance
- Meet regularly with students to review progress and set academic goals
- Support students with study skills, organization, and time-management strategies
- Assist with academic planning and scheduling as needed
- Coordinate support for students on academic warning or probation
- Guide students through college preparation, including applications, essays, recommendations, and deadlines
Student Support
- Conduct check-ins with students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges
- Develop individualized success plans for students needing additional support
- Provide guidance on responsibility, decision-making, and school expectations
- Help students navigate academic or school-related obstacles that impact performance
- Refer concerns to appropriate administrative staff when necessary
Family Communication
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding academic progress and concerns
- Follow up with families on improvement plans and intervention outcomes
Data & Documentation
- Maintain accurate academic records and support documentation
- Track progress and outcomes of student intervention plans
- Prepare reports for school leadership as needed
Collaboration
- Partner with teachers and administrators to identify and address student needs
- Support staff with academic strategies for struggling students
- Assist in planning school-wide academic support initiatives

- Communicate clearly and respectfully with students, families, and colleagues

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
