Job Summary: AEDD is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Van Driver to transport adults with developmental disabilities to and from the Lacy Landers Skills Training Center. This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe, timely, and comfortable transportation while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport consumers to and from the facility on assigned routes
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transport
- Complete daily route documentation, including mileage and sign-in sheets
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper fueling before or after routes
- Follow all traffic laws, including full stops at railroad crossings
- Remain fully attentive while driving (no phone use or distractions)
- Follow all AEDD transportation policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding schedules or concerns
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience driving a van (15-passenger preferred) is a plus
- Valid Arkansas Driver's License required
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass background check, TB test, and drug screening

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist passengers as needed
