Position Summary
AED Stratecon is seeking an experienced Scheduler / Project Controls Consultant to provide expert scheduling and project controls support for international construction programs. This role will provide Primavera P6 expertise, strengthen project controls processes, and support the development of project teams through mentorship and knowledge transfer.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can quickly assess project needs, provide practical solutions, and operate independently with minimal direction. This position offers flexibility for an experienced scheduler who wants to support complex projects without requiring a full-time onsite commitment.
Responsibilities
· Develop, maintain, and analyze complex construction schedules using Oracle Primavera P6.
· Provide scheduling expertise and guidance to project leadership and project teams.
· Review schedule updates, critical path, milestones, progress tracking, and project reporting.
· Support baseline schedules, recovery plans, forecasting, and schedule analysis.
· Perform CPM analysis, logic reviews, float management, WBS development, and resource planning.
· Review contractor schedules and identify risks, delays, and potential impacts.
· Support project controls processes and improve schedule management practices.
· Mentor and provide guidance to developing project controls personnel.
· Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain accurate project schedules.
Qualifications
· 10 years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or construction management.
· Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.
· Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, WBS development, baseline/rebaseline schedules, activity relationships, float management, and schedule analysis.
· Experience supporting large construction, government, defense, or international projects preferred.
· OBO project experience preferred.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and provide leadership through expertise.
· Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. Government security clearance; active clearance preferred due to project requirements and access needs.
