What You'll Do Here
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Operate fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing work as required.
- Inspect fabricated parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met.
- Repair or modify metal structures and components as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with welders, fitters, supervisors, and other team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Accurately document completed work and material usage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Experience using fabrication equipment such as saws, grinders, presses, drills, and cutting tools.
- Knowledge of measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, squares, and levels.
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding preferred.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on feet for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds or more, with assistance when required.
- Comfortable working in industrial, construction, or shop environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
