Our nuclear sector plays an important role in extending the life of existing nuclear stations and executing the next generation of nuclear new builds leveraging a similar fleet execution strategy. From our work delivering the two largest refurbishment projects (Savannah River nuclear station and North Anna Power Station) in North America to deploying the first grid scale SMR in the western world. We continue moving forward with a strategic focus on decarbonizing energy systems in support of a net zero future.

Base Salary Range: $85.00 - $100.00 hourly

What You'll Do Here
- Coordinate all Turbine Building crane operations during outages and online maintenance activities.
- Develop and maintain daily crane schedules.
- Manage competing crane demands and establish lifting priorities.
- Coordinate crane availability with outage management and work execution teams.
- Ensure efficient utilization of plant cranes and auxiliary lifting equipment.
- Support execution of critical path outage activities.
- Review lift requests for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate development and approval of lift plans.
- Verify required engineering evaluations have been completed.
- Ensure all critical lifts are reviewed and approved in accordance with station procedures.
- Verify load paths and laydown areas are suitable for planned work.
- Coordinate work package readiness prior to lift execution.
- Coordinate rigging personnel and resources.
- Ensure proper rigging equipment is available and inspected.
- Verify rigging plans meet station and regulatory requirements.
- Support engineered lift development for complex evolutions.
- Ensure rigging crews understand lift requirements and hazards.
- Coordinate rigging personnel and resources.

- Promote a strong nuclear and industrial safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with:
- OSHA regulations
- Nuclear safety requirements
- Site lifting and rigging procedures
- Human performance standards
- Radiation Protection requirements
- Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) controls
- Industrial safety standards
- Conduct field observations and coaching opportunities.
- Participate in pre-job briefs and post-job reviews.
- Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified.
- Prior Nuclear experience preferred but not required
- Good communication, organizational and administrative skills are essential
- Maintain a professional demeaner in all aspects of the project as an Aecon employee
- Proficiency in computer skills (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, & records management)
- Work outage shift schedules – ex. 12hr shifts 6-7 days a week as needed
- Report to work Fit for Duty (FFD)
