Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer in the Columbus, Ohio.
This position is expected to begin on November 2023.
The candidate can look forward to projects including:
Intersection and Interchange Improvement Plans
Interstate Reconstruction Plans
Urban and Rural Roadway Improvement Plans
Maintenance of Traffic Plans
Drainage and Erosion Control Plans
The candidate will be responsible for following ODOT, OTIC, and/or City standards and performing engineering calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as highway design, stormwater and multimodal transportation projects.
Ability to recognize discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes
Good written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation/Geopak and experience with MS Office
Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.
Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work.
