Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Acoustic Consultant/ Noise Specialist to join our Environmental Permitting and Planning West group. This hybrid role can be based in any of AECOM's Western Metropolitan locations.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Primary support on noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, architecture, and development projects across the U.S.
Perform predictive analyses with spreadsheet-based tools and commercially available software such as FHWA Traffic Noise Model, CadnaA, and EASE.
Deploy and supervise a variety of sound level measurements in the field; conduct and document attended sound measurements; download and process collected data for report or presentation content inclusion. Sound measurement tasks will frequently require working in an outdoor environment. Regular travel across the United States should be anticipated.
Research and review regulatory issues regarding local, state, and national codes.
Prepare client deliverables (e.g., letter reports, technical documents, graphics, and acoustical specifications).
While the position typically adheres to a traditional 40-hour per week work schedule, some night and weekend assignments will be required or expected.
