Job Description

AECOM Hunt has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Estimator to join our team of professionals in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Description:

• Works with the Company estimating systems and processes.
• Acquire basic level of understanding of estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
• Recognizes how various processes/project actions and assumptions may impact estimates.
• Under supervision prepares bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of subcontractor bids, etc. for projects.
• Performs duties with limited complexity under direct supervision, such as material take offs, compilation of historical data, etc.
• Expected to assist in the preparation of larger and more complex estimating assignments including the Estimate Plan.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar curriculum and 2 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Ability to analyze blueprints, specs, and site info to calculate project costs (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors) for bids, creating detailed budgets, proposals, and quantity takeoffs.
• Coordination of subcontractor and supplier involvement.
• Knowledge of building codes, materials and construction methods.
• Desire to build your career in the field of Estimating.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $64782.21 to $119847.08.
