Job Description


Lead the Schedules That Drive Program Success.

AECOM is seeking a Program Controls Scheduling Manager for a critical leadership role supporting complex, multi-project programs. This position is essential to ensuring schedule integrity, alignment, and delivery across programs where precision, foresight, and strong leadership directly impact outcomes.

In this role, you will lead scheduling efforts across medium to large-scale programs, integrating multiple project schedules into a cohesive program framework while managing interdependencies, risks, and resource alignment. You will partner closely with project managers and senior leadership to guide strategic decisions, provide authoritative scheduling oversight, and ensure program objectives are met from early estimating through construction and closeout.

This is an opportunity for an experienced scheduling professional to influence program-level delivery, mentor high-performing teams, and contribute to the successful execution of transportation programs within a global organization.

The Program Controls Scheduling Manager will be entrusted with the following critical responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute scheduling-related activities for medium to large-scale programs with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Spearhead scheduling efforts across multiple projects within the program, ensuring strict alignment with overall program objectives and seamlessly integrating project schedules into a comprehensive program schedule.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to identify and address interdependencies between projects, proactively mitigating risks and resolving conflicts to maintain program integrity.
  • Engage in strategic collaboration with project managers to ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization, critical to program success.
  • Maintain close working relationships with senior leadership to define and refine program-level objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide authoritative scheduling guidance and rigorous oversight to project controls teams, ensuring effective management of individual project elements and overall program cohesion.
  • Implement and continuously monitor risk mitigation strategies, conducting regular evaluations to ensure their effectiveness and adjust as necessary.
  • Facilitate clear, concise, and timely communication between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are fully informed of critical program developments.
  • Deliver comprehensive and analytical updates to senior leadership on program progress, challenges, and achievements, providing strategic insights for decision-making.

Qualifications


Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelors degree plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Requirements:

  • 12 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience
  • Experience with schedule management on transportation programs
  • Experience with schedule evolution from estimating through design - construction - closeout including changes

Salary : $180,000 - $200,000
