Programming internships are available at our Headquarters facility in Springfield, Missouri. These are paid internships that offer part-time employment in the fall and spring semesters with the opportunity to continue on a full-time basis during the summer. Normal working days are Monday through Friday. You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI! Contact your school's career center for more information. Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled in a computer science, computer information systems, computer engineering, or electrical engineering curriculum. You must be enrolled in school during the internship. Candidates familiar with the latest Microsoft technologies (C#, .Net Core, SQL, Azure, RESTful Services, Reporting Services, Business Intelligence and SharePoint) are preferred. These students will join our group of 20 developers and application analysts to assist with the following: Create and expand upon in-house developed software tools as well as the development of integrations with third-party products to support the effective running of our power grid. Assist with the implementation, configuration, and expansion of capabilities of third-party products. Contribute to a full-stack development team and become familiar with software industry practices such as Dev Ops, Source Control, Build and Deploy Pipelines, Project Management, Product Management Service Oriented Architecture, and more! Work directly with engineers, accountants, human resources, and other professionals to gather project requirements, tackle support requests, and implement new software products that will have lasting impacts long after your internship is complete!
