We are adding to our assembly team and would like to hire a Control Panel Fabricator / Technician. The ideal candidate would have some experience in the fabrication and / or maintenance of industrial controls and electromechanical systems. We are looking for someone self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable, with a strong technical aptitude and a passion for quality and craftsmanship.
AEC Engineering is a small, growing company that designs industrial controls and has been fabricating industrial control panels for over 40 years. As a custom "design/build" company, our customers come from a wide variety of industries including aquaculture, bio-tech, food & beverage, manufacturing, and water treatment. We also provide controls software engineering & automation design services, and perform service & support activities for our customers’ automation and integration needs. Our internal environment is comfortable and team-oriented with a continual focus on exceeding the expectations of our customers. We place an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship, and have earned a reputation for this within the industry.

This position is full time 40 hours per week. Start/stop times can be flexible and will be discussed upon hire. Employees in this position can expect to work four 10 hour days, while some in the office prefer working four 9 hour days and a short day Friday.

- Experience in the fabrication and / or maintenance of electrical systems, industrial controls, and electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Familiarity with industrial controls and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electrical controls, control panel assembly work, and/or related mechanical experience.
- Proficient at reading electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Understanding of Electrical Theory.
- Understanding of Mechanical Theory.
- Ability to work independently, safely, and accurately with a focus on precision and quality.
- Ability to anticipate and identify issues with electrical drawings and equipment both mechanically and electrically.
- Effective communication skills with customers and co-workers.
- Experience working safely in a production environment.
- Experience working with deadlines.
