Position
This position will make outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualified leads and sell products and services as well as handles inbound phone calls and emails to convert leads into sales.
Job Duties:
- Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualified leads and sell products and services
- Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices, credit terms, and prepares sales orders, in a timely manner
- Monitors the production schedule, communicating with the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and service departments to ensure customer requirements and on-time delivery are met
- Follows Engineering instructions and applies the knowledge to complete the requirements of the support task
- Prepares and provides parts quotes via email or by phone. Creates spreadsheets to analyze costing per BOM's to establish current cost and pricing
- Reads and understands parts manuals and BOM's. Prepares and provides recommended spare parts listings for customer stock programs. Works with PIC to identify and obtain replacement parts and part availability
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software; Internet software
Education/Experience Requirements:
Associates degree preferred, or at least two years' experience in a customer inside sales role.
