Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Leader to oversee the successful delivery of complex interior design projects from concept through completion. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, and team performance while maintaining high standards of design excellence and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates clearly, and mentors team members while balancing creative vision with technical and operational rigor.
This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, guiding projects through all phases of design and documentation, coordinating consultants and internal resources, and proactively addressing risks, changes, and project challenges. The role also supports business development efforts through strong client relationships and participation in marketing pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage interior design projects through all phases, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Oversee project planning, staffing, budgeting, and coordination using established project management systems
- Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear, consistent communication
- Guide and inspire project teams through effective leadership, collaboration, and mentorship
- Collaborate with leadership on project scoping, fees, contracts, and resource planning
- Monitor project risks, technical considerations, and design decisions to support successful outcomes
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality across design documentation and deliverables
- Stay current with design trends, materials, space planning strategies, and industry best practices
- Support business development and marketing efforts through client engagement and project pursuit participation
EDUCATION
- Professional Degree in Interiors and Licensure
