Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Delivery Driver (1099 contractor) to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting commercial truck tires to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving, manual handling, and providing exceptional customer service. As a key member of our delivery network, you will operate different types of vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to safety regulations and traffic laws. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of delivery vehicles such as box trucks and personal vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
• Load, unload, and secure packages or materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary
• Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route planning tools to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
• Load and unload cargo carefully, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury
• Provide excellent customer service by delivering packages promptly, professionally, and courteously at each stop
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery logs, invoices, and proof of delivery records
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to warehouse operations, manual handling, heavy lifting, and vehicle operation

* A SEPARATE PAYMENT WILL BE ON YOUR PAY STUB FOR LOADING IN THE TIRES ACCORDING TO HOW MANY TIRES WAS LOADED EACH DAY. *

FORKLIFT WILL LOAD IN TIRES, BUT TIRES NEED TO BE MANUALLY LOADED IN AS WELL. HELP WILL BE PROVIDED.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar courier role with a focus on route driving and customer service
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable
• Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles is a plus; familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is beneficial
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, weight handling in the workplace, and safe lifting practices
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively using mobile devices or GPS systems
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
• Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for loading/unloading cargo safely

These deliveries you will be delivering truck tires to different truck companies, truck yards, or houses. Must be detail-oriented, and communication is a must, so we can know where you are in route.

THIS IS USUALLY A MONDAY-FRIDAY SCHEDULE, but this can also be changed as well. Some days you will be off if there is no deliveries.

Pay: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per week
