Senior Architect - Cleveland Office - AE7

AE7 is looking for a Senior Architect for our Cleveland Office to work on project work in the region. Candidates should have at least 10 years of project experience in the Ohio market understanding project types, construction methodologies, codes, and client connections. Project responsibilities could also expand into AE7 project workload in the US and internationally if desired. Preferred candidates will have expertise in one or more of the following fields and/or have a good foundation in the general practice of multiple project types.

• Commercial Buildings / Commercial Tenant Fit-out
• Healthcare & Wellness
• Higher Education
• Hospitality
• Residential / Multi-Family Residential
• Mixed-Use Developments
  
  

Candidates should have experience in project management and excel at the ability to execute a project from concept design through construction documentation with little to no supervision.

Ideally, this position would also be the catalyst to grow the Ohio Architecture Department therefore individuals with a drive to grow and build an architecture team will be ideal.

Responsibilities:

• Able to project manage and/or work through concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and project close-out stages
• Able to design / detail / create & review project documents
• Able to manage / mentor employees / project team(s)
• Able to coordinate and manage consultants and other disciplines
• Able to scope potential projects / proposals, manage deliverables and schedules, manage fees/profitability
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architecture / architecture interiors
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• Licensure
• Strong knowledge of local Building Codes, IBC, ADA and life safety requirements and the ability to navigate local city / municipality requirements
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
  
  

Desirable:

• Ability to use some of the following: Bluebeam, Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch up, InDesign and Illustrator
• LEED / Well Building / Passive House certification
• Business Development skills / Networking involvement
