Responsibilities
This role isn’t just about making things look good. It’s about helping us tell the story behind the science. Every day, you’ll:
- Own the design process for fast-moving marketing and technical deliverables — from ads, graphical executive summaries, presentations, and flyers to graphics for client-facing proposals.
- Work inside Adobe Creative Suite most of your day — especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop — creating graphics, layouts, and visual elements for print and digital media.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand technical content and brainstorm how to communicate it visually.
- Manage multiple rounds of edits with flexibility and professionalism — you know how to take feedback and refine fast.
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual assets and ensure every piece communicates the right message.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or other related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office products
- Strong graphic design capabilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to be flexible, maintain a positive attitude, and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Have a sharp eye for detail — layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
- Experience in an Architectural/Engineering/Construction firm
- 1 to 5 years of experience preferred
- Experience using a content management system for intranet/web updates
- Videography and video production experience
- Photography experience
- Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
- Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement
- Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
