We are seeking an experienced and results-driven EMC Sales Manager to lead our sales operations and manage representative and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, preferably within the EMC or electronics manufacturing industry. This role combines technical understanding, strong business development, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering tailored solutions.
This position will report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
The EMC Sales Manager's objectives include:
- Identify, qualify, and secure new sales opportunities in industries such as automotive, aerospace, research, defense, imaging, and telecommunications.
- Develop and execute territory or account growth plans to achieve sales targets.
- Coach, train, and support sales partners on EMC product features, applications, and competitive advantages to align with company objectives.
- Monitor sales partner performance, provide pipeline visibility, and help resolve customer and channel conflicts.
- Work with our internal team and sales partners to prepare and deliver proposals and quotations.
- Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal technical, applications, and engineering teams to develop customized solutions.
- Manage factory-direct relationships.
- Prospect through industry networks, trade shows, and customer visits.
- Provide regular forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to management.
- Keep CRM system up to date with accurate customer and opportunity information.
- Monitor sales partner performance, provide pipeline visibility, and help resolve customer and channel conflicts.
- Travel of up to 25% of the time required.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience in channel management supporting independent sales reps and distributors.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer benefits.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, physics, business, or equivalent work experience.
- Required: Proven track record in B2B technical sales, ideally in the EMC test industry, or related technical or electronics industries.
- Preferred: Understanding of EMC standards (e.g. in aerospace, automotive, military).
Performance Metrics:
- Achievement of direct and channel sales revenue and margin targets.
- Growth of customer accounts and distributor territories.
- Sales partner engagement and effectiveness (training completed, sales activity levels, pipeline health).
- Accuracy and timeliness of CRM reporting.
