AE Techron products are recognized as being robust, technically superior, and very well supported. Our mission is to deliver high-quality EMC solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers, and the Sales Manager role will act as the most important liaison between our customers and the company. 

 

We are seeking someone who can serve on the senior leadership team for AE Techron, helping the company to drive strategy, planning and growth, as we move from an entrepreneurial to a mid-market company. In addition to this company-wide leadership role, they will be responsible for creating and executing the sales strategy and collaborating on the marketing strategy, alongside the other members of the Sales & Marketing Department. 

 

This position will report directly to the President.  

 

The Sales Manager objectives include: 

  • Develop and implement both short-term and long-term sales strategies, including annual sales targets and promotional plans. 
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team. 
  • Act as a key senior leader for the company, sitting on the executive leadership team to drive company growth and strategic planning. 
  • Create and manage the department budget, working with the accounting department to ensure compliance with guidelines during decision making. 
  • Research market trends, customer needs, and competitors to inform strategy and identify new opportunities. 
  • Manage relationships with AE Techron sales partners, distributors, and key customer accounts to foster loyalty and supply our superior level of customer satisfaction. 
  • Become knowledgeable in AE Techron products and EMC standards to be able to answer basic customer inquiries for general product usage in industries such as Automotive and Aerospace industries, as well as Research, Defense, Imaging, and Telecommunications markets. 
  • Collaborate with departments throughout AE Techron to ensure sales deadlines are realistic, and that product realization is driven to meet market demands. 


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: 

  • Represent AE Techron at industry tradeshows and conventions, as well as in important customer-facing meetings, webinars, and communications. 
  • Collaborate with internal technical, applications, and engineering teams to conceptualize and develop customized solutions. 
  • Keep CRM system up to date with accurate customer and opportunity information. 
  • Travel, up to 10% of the time, possible. 

 

Qualifications / Skills: 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed. 
  • Comfortable and skilled at interacting with customers, online, by phone, and in person. 

 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: 

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or electrical engineering field. 
  • Preferred: Degrees and/or experience in both business and technical related fields.  
  • Preferred: Understanding of EMC standards (e.g. in Aerospace, Automotive, Defense). 

 

Performance Metrics: 

  • Customer satisfaction. 
  • Increase in company revenue from product sales. 
  • Sales partner engagement with and understanding of AE Techron products. 
  • Company product knowledge. 

  

Anticipated Compensation Range:  

  • The base salary range is $70k to $110k, commensurate with qualifications. 
  • Total compensation package typically 70% Salary and 30% commission. 
  • Total pay within the salary and commission structures varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
