Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)- Medical/Surgical
Location: Atlanta, Georgia, 30342
Shift: 12 Hrs. Day Shift | 07:00 AM -19:30 PM Mon-Sun | 36 Hrs./Week
Duration: 16 Weeks Contract (Possible Extension)
Pay Package for 36 Hrs./Week:
- Weekly Gross: $2,010/wk.
- Weekly Stipends: $1,470/wk.
- Hourly Taxable: $15/hr. on W2
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience within specialties.- Required.
- Active Georgia state RN License.- Required.
- Current BLS from AHA.- Required.
- COVID Vaccination.- Required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and patient history documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following HIPAA guidelines and aseptic techniques, including IV infusions and medication administration protocols.
- Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and ventilator management while maintaining sterile processing standards.
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously through telemetry and critical care techniques; respond promptly to acute pain or emergency situations following critical care response procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning strategies, case management plans, and coordinate post-acute care or home & community care services.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection/processing, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical imaging review when applicable.
- Educate patients and families on health coaching topics such as chronic disease management, hospice & palliative medicine options, or senior & dementia care needs.
