What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enterprise Sales Executive position at AE Solutions?
ABOUT AE SOLUTIONS
AE Solutions (AE Tools Holdings, LLC) is a fast-growing technology solutions company serving
customers across automotive diagnostics, managed services, and rugged field technology. We support a rapidly expanding customer base that includes independent repair shops, dealership networks, fleet operations, utility sector, state DOTs and enterprise accounts nationwide. Our sales team plays a critical role in the customer experience, and we take pride in the quality and responsiveness of the help we provide.
POSITION SUMMARY
Think of this role the way a general contractor thinks about building a skyscraper: you don’t pour the concrete yourself, but nothing gets built without you. You are the architect of complex deals —identifying the right accounts, mapping the right stakeholders, designing the right solution, and navigating the right path to a signed contract.
Our buyers are VP-level Fleet Directors, Chief Information Officers, and VP-level Operations leaders at utilities, energy companies, and large municipal fleets. They manage hundreds of technicians across dozens of locations, and they are drowning in software renewals, broken devices, and IT liability they never asked to own. You show them a better way.
This is a hunter role. You will build a pipeline from scratch in your territory, run complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles, and close multi-year managed services agreements. You will be supported by leadership, technical resources, and a proven service model — but the territory is yours to win.
This role is our first dedicated Enterprise Sales Executive — a ground-floor opportunity to build the playbook and capture the market.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and manage a target pipeline of enterprise prospects including utilities, energy companies, municipalities, and commercial fleet operators
- Develop strategic outreach plans through direct prospecting, referrals, industry events, and partner channels while maintaining a strong qualified pipeline
- Lead consultative discovery conversations to understand customer operations, technical environments, pain points, and business objectives
- Act as a trusted advisor by identifying operational and financial improvement opportunities and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
- Partner with technical and operations teams to design customized managed services solutions and deliver compelling presentations, ROI models, proposals, and business cases
- Manage the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution, including negotiations, procurement coordination, and multi-stakeholder approvals
- Maintain accurate CRM pipeline data, provide reliable forecasting, and execute territory plans aligned with revenue goals while monitoring competitive and market trends
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- 5 years of enterprise or complex B2B sales experience — MSP, SaaS, field services, industrial technology, or fleet/utilities sector strongly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of closing multi-year, multi-stakeholder deals in the $250K–$2M TCV range
- Experience selling to VP-level and C-suite buyers across operations, IT, and finance
- Strong foundational knowledge of managed IT services, software lifecycle management, or fleet/field service technology
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) you document everything and forecast honestly
- Ability to build financial models and ROI analyses that resonate with operations and finance executives
- Self-directed: you build your own pipeline, run your own territory, and don’t wait to be handed leads
Preferred
- Experience selling into utilities, energy companies, municipalities, or large commercial fleet operators
- Familiarity with OEM diagnostic software ecosystems (Cummins, Detroit, Allison, CAT, John Deere, PACCAR, etc.)
- Background in hardware-plus-services or device-as-a-service (DaaS) sales motions
- Experience structuring and closing pilot programs that convert to full enterprise contracts
- Existing relationships within utility, energy, or large fleet procurement communities
